Wayfinding
Project Overview | In January 2025, the Pacific Coliseum underwent a long-overdue seat and section renumbering to align with standard stadium seating conventions. With potential tenants scoping the venue, it also needed to look polished and professional. The project required a full wayfinding redesign: a clean, clear signage system that could guide successfully thousands of guests through a complex venue.
My Role & Contribution | Sole designer on a small team with a tight turnaround • Retrieved and verified original art files from a decade-old system for reuse of custom sign structures • Designed updated and new on-brand signage incorporating the new numbering system • Developed a digital guest map for food, drink, and washrooms • Attended vendor meetings to oversee production and colour accuracy
Challenges & Solutions | The turnaround was tight and the stakes were high as incorrect numbering on physical signage isn't easily fixed. The new system required a thorough understanding of the venue's seating layout, meticulous file management, and multiple rounds of proofing and revisions before anything went to production.
